Migraines can be triggered by eating potato chips and other oily foods on an empty stomach.
The Remedy is to squeeze half a lemon - cut up the peel and simmer it in 1 1/4 cup for ten minutes. Strain into the container with the lemon juice and add either a pinch of cayenne, or 1/2 teaspoon of fresh grated ginger. Add a bit of maple syrup for sweetness.
If you just have begun to get headaches and they are severe, consult a doctor. Some underlying causes could be sinusitis, inflammation of a blood vessel, stroke, or an aneurysm and even brain tumor.
A sore throat can be helped by drinking tea made from ginger or slippery elm. The lozenges of slippery elm are very soothing. Ginger tea is made from fresh ginger cut into four slices. Simmer in a cup or two of water for eight minutes. A bit of honey can be added. this excellent for coughs, chest congestion and even motion sickness.
Always respect your taste buds. Never force yourself to eat foods that you do not like. If you find something to be distasteful, it is probably a food that will not help your body.
