Seeds, beans and grains contain enzyme inhibitors to preserve their contents until the
proper conditions are available to bring them to life. Unsoaked or unsprouted these
inhibitors can interfere with the digestion. Sprouting turns the nutrients of the seeds and
grains into an easily digested very nutritious high energy food.
Adding sprouts to breads brings the grain to "life". They supply calories, and are a great
source of complex carbohydrates. proteins and minerals. So much bread is made from
bleached flour and added chemicals to preserve freshness. Making bread at home can turn into a family affair. A better quality bread is more nutritious and filling. Add fruit and
raisins, experiment with ingredients that you like. Eating a great bread for breakfast can
give you and the kids energy to get through a long day.
