Whenever you exercise, you release natural chemicals in your brain that increase feelings of happiness. Also, committing to exercising regularly may open up your social circle as you make new friends in your local fitness classes, courts, and fields.

The good news about exercise is that it doesn't have to be a huge commitment or battle of will. For the average Joe, looking to keep in shape for just 20-30 minutes a week of exercise can keep you in good health. Many find that hitting the gym just before or after work a few days a week is the easiest way to sneak in their commitment to themselves.
