Aerobic Exercise
 
The health benefits of exercise and physical activity are enormous.  This is something we
can all do for ourselves, no matter the economic circumstances of the household or
where you live.  It is beneficial if the diet is brought under control and improved, but
movement of the body is essential.
 
Exercise
 
Builds and maintains healthy muscle, bones, joints
Improves psychological well-being
Reduces the risk of developing diabetes
Helps to reduce high cholesterol, blood pressure
Reduces the risk of premature death
Reduces the risk of developing colon cancer and breast cancer.
Reduces depression and anxiety
Reduces the risk of developing heart disease or dying from heart disease

Increased maximal oxygen consumption
Increased blood supply to muscles and ability to use oxygen
Increased HDL cholesterol
Decreased blood triglycerides
Reduced body fat and improved weight control
Improved glucose tolerance and reduced insulin resistence
